Effective Prayer – Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

Dear all,
May the LORD give you peace in your heart and lead you into the path of His Righteousness!
Word:

Matthew 7:7-11 New Living Translation (NLT) – Effective Prayer

7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Thought: Loving and being loved: Our God is a Benevolent Father – “Abba, Father”. Do you have the relationship?

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

Matthew 6:25-34 – The Cure for Anxiety

Look at the birds of the air that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will [i]care for itself. [j]Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Thought: Why worry?

From the rising to the setting of the sun, God’s name will be exalted among the nations – Malachi 1:11

Do not forget your Father in Heaven (Romans 12). He loves us more than we could ever imagine! When we have the Lordship of Christ Jesus in our day-to-day life, certainly we can face tomorrow with the confidence we have in Him.

Thought:  Only God deserves to be glorified and lifted up in worship.

Lift up Prayers of celebration in three ways:

  1. Celebrate God’s Kingdom as it breaks into this world.
  2. Rejoice in God’s power as you relinquish your own.
  3. Declare God’s glory by bowing your knees, lifting your voice, and giving Him praise.

Prayer and sinning will never live together in the same heart. Prayer will consume sin, or sin will choke prayer

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word: Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Quotes from Andrew Murray  (1828 – 1917)  – Minister and the man of God:

The man who mobilizes Christian Church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.

Each time, before you intercede, be quiet first, and worship God in his glory. Think of what He can do, and how he delights to hear the prayer of his redeemed people. Think of your place and privilege in Christ, and expect great things.

God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is total. It reaches every corner of our experience.

God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is long – it continues the length of our lives.

God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is high – it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation

God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is deep – it reaches to the depths of discouragement or despair (Romans 8: 38 and 39)
