 “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company… a church… a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes”

In Christ we have everything we need for salvation and for living the Christian life. Thank God for what we have received in Christ Jesus.

Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return?

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Word:

 Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”  Luke 13: 6 – 3.

Thought:

Have you been enjoying God’s special treatment without giving anything in return? If so, respond to the Gardener’s patient care and begin to bear that fruit God has created you to produce.

Be thankful to God that you are wonderfully made to accomplish His purposes.

Is Jesus the King of your life?

Thought: Is Jesus the King of your life?

Do we have quiet time with Him? Do we handle the issues of life in accordance with the word of God? How is your daily walk with Christ? How about your Spiritual growth?

Let us live a life according to the word of God to please Him.

What kind of software do we have?

Greetings in the mighty name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

Word:

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4: 8 – 9.

Thought:

What we put into our mind determines what comes out in our words and actions. We may refer to our body as the hardware and what we feed to our body as the software. What kind of software do we have? Christ centered thoughts will build our life in Christ. Paul tells us to program our mind with Christ centered thoughts. If needed we have to reboot the system for a fresh start. Let’s examine what we are feeding our hearts and minds. Let’s make sure to memorize the Word of God and apply whenever we are in the need of victory over satan’s direct and indirect attacks. We need to ask God to help us to focus our mind on what is good and pure with an eternal perspective.

God of Peace

Dear all,

Thought:
The Spirit, soul and body refer not so much to the distinct parts of a person as to the entire being of a person. This expression is Paul’s way of saying that God must be involved in every aspect of a person’s life – thoughts, conducts, how we act, how we react in difficult situations, words, language, decisions etc.

· Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. (Malachi 3:10)
· “A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.”
· We are to trust in God for all things, but He also wants us to be wise! We are to plan ahead for those major things that will happen during our lifetime. If we are able to afford it, insurance can be an investment that helps to protect what God has provided.

The Seven Baby Steps
Step #1 — Start saving $1000 for your Emergency Fund in a bank.
Step #2 — Pay off all debt (except the house) using the Debt Snowball.
· “We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like.”
Step #3 — Put 3-6 months of expenses in savings.
Step #4 — Invest 15% of your household income into Roth IRAs and pre-tax retirement plans.
· Preparing now so that we can have money to live on later is a very wise thing to do, not so that we can be comfortable, but so we can spend our whole lives expanding God’s kingdom.
· If you follow Jesus, retirement is not a time where we get to just sit back and relax and wait to go to heaven. It is a time when we no longer have to work at a job. This allows us to be fully invested in the things that God wants us to do.
Step #5 — Save for your children’s college education using tax-favored plans.
· Our culture tells us that you have to go to college. That is not from God, however. College isn’t for everyone, and that is ok.
Step #6 — Pay off the house early.
Step #7 — Build God’s Kingdom and give!

Closing Thoughts
· What would it look like to have no debt, money for emergencies, money for the future, college funded for your kids and no payments for your house for the rest of your life? How much could you do for the kingdom? How much money would be freed up to do what He wants you to do?
· What if we really take the things that we have learned these last few weeks and decide to take God seriously? What if we really believed that all this was true and really believed that if we follow God’s ways, that He will bless us? Can you imagine the impact that we could have on the world?
· If you believe that this is all true, you have to do something about it! If you haven’t made a budget yet, then that is your first step. If you haven’t been giving, then go home and pray about how much to start giving and start this week. Then start taking these baby steps. It may take you several years to get to Step 7, and that’s ok. If you take steps in the right direction, God will bless you.
